RHA DCA
The Data Capture Application (DCA) is an important tool which facilitates the smooth management of data capture and the analysis transfer processes.
The DCA program is installed to enable the following processes: -
Reading of Digital Tachographs (if you have a suitable card reader)
Scanning of Analogue Tachographs (If you have a suitable scanner installed)
The reading of Vehicle downloads (If you have a suitable VU download unit)
Clocking in and out (If you have taken the TRM suite of tools)
Managing Rescans
Managing NoteCast messages
Minimum specification
PC with minimum Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHz processor or higher (or equivalent)
40GB (or higher) hard drive with min 40% free hard disk
1 GB Ram or higher
USB 2 with 2 or more free ports for card reader / scanner
Minimum screen resolution 1024x768
Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7+ with all current security patches and service packs
.Net 4.0 (or higher)
PC/SC / ISO7816 compliant USB Smart Card Reader capable of reading T0 and T1 type cards
Installation
The DCA installer program will require to be run as an administrator (or equivalent) to allow correct installation. Once installed the program will not require administrator privileges.
The DCA is installed using a standard MSI installer created with InstallAware. The software can also be manually installed if required.
During the installation, the software will install and register a DynamicWebTwain.dll.
Once installed the program will use approx. 25MB of hard drive space.
Permissions
The DCA requires that the local user has Read/Write permission to the DCA installation directory as this is where the cards and vehicles files are stored temporarily before being uploaded to the central RHA server.
The software can be programmed to store a copy of the files on a local drive (if required).
Communication
The DCA communicates with the RHA Servers using the following endpoints

The software will require by-directional communication on Port 80 (instigated by the DCA program when it is active).
